The B Warm Blanket Drive began in 2007 at Coronado High School. Over 22,500 blankets have been collected and distributed in El Paso since its inception! Thank you to each school, business and individual who supports the drive and helps El Paso B Warm.

The B Warm Blanket drive is an annual event that seeks to promote awareness within our community about the need to provide relief to those seeking help during the winter months. Unlike other foundation projects, this blanket drive goes beyond the youth related theme, and encompasses individuals of all ages in need of assistance.

In 2007, Braden took a keen interest in developing this type of project when he noticed a local agency's plea for help on an evening newscast. The B Warm Blanket Drive finally kicked off on October 20, 2007. Coordinated by the Coronado High School class of 2011, the drive surpassed collection totals of more than 1000 blankets in a one month period. The blankets were distributed throughout the city by utilizing various drop-off and pick-up locations coordinated by the Foundation and the El Paso Police Department.

Partnered with The El Paso Times and the El Paso Sheriff's Office, the B Warm Blanket Drive has now distributed more than 22,500 blankets since 2007. Thanks also to the schools and businesses all over El Paso for being drop-off locations and taking this project on to service their community.

As this community continues to embrace this worthwhile project, the blanket recipients can wrap themselves in the warmth of the spirit of Braden and his vision to help those that cannot always help themselves B Warm.
